Carolyn Fallin – Bio
Carolyn
began her career as a singer/actor on a trip to Missouri
when her family stayed in Jellystone park and she reenacted
every nursery rhyme depicted at the campground from the
“Three Little Pigs,” to “Little Red Riding Hood.” Never has
there been a day in her life that she hasn’t utilized her
singing or voice-acting talents. She thrives on rehearsals,
performances on stage, in front of a camera or in a
recording studio. It is with this same enthusiasm she
approaches her clients. Carolyn graduated Cum Laude with
a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Theatre from Seattle Pacific
University and completed post-graduate work at University of
California, Santa Barbara. Carolyn has taught voice and
performance technique for all age ranges. She was a
professor of music and acting at Oakland University and
Oakland Community College in Michigan. She has also taught
vocal performance and audition preparation at the Oxford
School of Music in Fort Myers, Florida. She is honored to
judge many vocal and acting competitions throughout the
United States. Carolyn also served as a Casting Director
and Vocal Coach, providing A&R Services for Sony Worldwide
Music.
Growing up
in Los Angeles California, Carolyn is a well-known singer
and actress in her own right. She has a long list of
credits including live and studio performances with Jodi
Benson, Lee Greenwood, Steven Curtis Chapman,
Larnelle Harris, Ricky Skaggs and Michael
English. She was honored to travel as soloist for
several presidential campaigns. She has entertained in
numerous roles at Walt Disney World with many other
renowned actors in The Voices of Liberty. Beauty
and The Beast, Cinderella’s Surprise Celebration,
and The Diamond Horseshoe Revue. Carolyn was the
musical director for the “Hollywood Sisters” at
Disney and has trained and developed various singing groups
employed for performances throughout Florida entertainment
venues. Recognized by National Vocal Training
Organizations, she has worked as Musical Director and Vocal
Stylist for Music and Theatre Productions across North
America and around the world.
Her
extensive acting experience in theatre, television and film,
provide an additional base for teaching performance
technique. She worked as an actor with Thousand Oaks
Professional Theatre in Los Angeles for Gary
Dontzig (Producer – Murphy Brown, Suddenly Susan).
She has appeared in Music Videos for Dennis DeYoung
(Lead Singer – Styx) and movies, such as “The
Philadelphia Experiment” “Perfect” and “Miss
America, Behind The Crown.” Carolyn has lent her
vocal talents to jingles and voiceovers for “Levis”,
“McDonalds”, “Taco Bell”, and the “Ford
Motor Company” to name a few. Look for Carolyn
co-starring in the feature film, “The Metro Chase”,
starring Tara Lipinski and John Cryer. She
also stars as a wife and mother striving to keep her family
together in the 1920’s in a special on Henry Ford for the
History Channel.
Carolyn
specializes in preparing singers and voice talents who
desire to succeed in the entertainment industry. She
provides knowledge along with practical tools to help
students create a professional sounding voice and physical
presence filled with power, emotion and the subtle nuance
required to capture the heart and soul of every audience.
